Am: Chiropractor appointment. Turns out the other chiropractor at the place I go to has been fixing SDSU XC kids' shin splints for a long time with acupuncture. Gave it a go. That was weird. The having needles poking out of my calf and shin was weird, but the running electricity through them was even weirder. He's pretty positive effect it's not a stress fracture. He's also run a few marathons so he understands my apprehension to time ooff.going to run tonight and more acupuncture on thursday.

Wow. This sounds really wild! I am curious to see what comes of this. "running electricity"? Just like Lethal Weapon? "Endo here has forgotten more about dispensing pain than you and I will never know."

Good you found a doctor that appreciates running. I went to the doctor on Monday about my hernia and he basically said I should quit running so many miles.

Tom - it does sound kinda wild! Kinda weird, too. If it works, I'm going to be thrilled. "Running electricity". Has a ring to it.

IJR - My new prerequisite for visiting doctors is that they've run at least 2 marathons. There's a different kind of understanding that most doctors don't follow - quit running so many miles isn't always an option.

Sounds like a great find as far as doctors go. Does it feel like the amps running through your shin have improved things at all yet?
